Shield
What is a shield?
A shield is a protective barrier or enclosure made of conductive material that blocks electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) from affecting electronic circuits. It works by creating a Faraday cage effect that redirects electromagnetic fields around the protected components. Shields are commonly implemented as metal enclosures, conductive coatings, or grounded metal plates placed between sensitive circuits and interference sources to ensure proper device operation and regulatory compliance.
