Bathtub Floor
What is a bathtub floor?
A bathtub floor is a tent floor design where the waterproof fabric extends several inches up the sidewalls of the tent, creating a basin-like shape similar to a bathtub. This construction prevents water from seeping in through the seam where the floor meets the tent walls, providing superior protection against ground moisture, pooled water, and light flooding. The raised edges are particularly valuable when camping on wet ground or during heavy rain, as they create a protective barrier that keeps the interior dry even if water accumulates around the tent.
