DCF/Cuben Fiber

DCF (Dyneema Composite Fabric), formerly known as Cuben Fiber, is an ultra-lightweight, waterproof laminated fabric used in premium ultralight backpacking gear. Made with Dyneema fibers sandwiched between thin polyester films, it offers exceptional strength-to-weight ratios and complete waterproofness. It's commonly used for ultralight tents, tarps, backpack rain covers, and stuff sacks where weight savings are critical, though it comes at a premium price and can be noisy in wind.
