Isobutane

What is isobutane?

Isobutane is a refined fuel gas commonly used in portable camping stoves, lanterns, and other outdoor cooking equipment. It burns cleaner and more efficiently than regular butane, providing consistent heat output even in colder temperatures down to around 14°F (-10°C). Isobutane is typically sold in pressurized canisters that screw directly onto compatible camp stoves, making it a popular choice for backpackers and campers who need reliable, lightweight fuel for cooking meals in the wilderness.
