Quilt

What is a quilt?

A quilt is a lightweight sleeping system designed for backpacking and ultralight camping that replaces traditional sleeping bags. Unlike sleeping bags, quilts have no zippers or fabric on the bottom, instead draping over the sleeper and attaching to their sleeping pad to prevent drafts. They offer significant weight savings, better temperature regulation, and more freedom of movement while sleeping, making them popular among thru-hikers and weight-conscious backpackers.
