Rainfly
What is a rainfly?
A rainfly is a waterproof outer cover that goes over a tent to provide protection from rain, wind, and other weather elements. It is typically made from lightweight, coated fabric and is designed to create a barrier between the tent's inner canopy and precipitation, allowing water to run off while maintaining ventilation underneath. Most rainflies are specific to tent models and attach via clips, hooks, or guy-lines to create proper tension and coverage over the tent body.
