Ursack

An Ursack is a lightweight, bear-resistant fabric storage sack designed to protect food and scented items from bears and other wildlife while camping or backpacking. Made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fabric, it prevents animals from tearing through to access contents, though they may still move or crush the bag. Ursacks are tied to a tree or solid anchor point and offer a lighter alternative to hard-sided bear canisters, making them popular among ultralight backpackers in bear country.
