UV Purifier

What is a UV purifier?

A UV purifier is a water treatment device that uses ultraviolet light to kill bacteria, viruses, and other harmful microorganisms in water sources. Popular among backpackers and campers, these lightweight electronic devices work by exposing water to UV-C light, which destroys the DNA of pathogens without adding chemicals or affecting taste. UV purifiers are fast-acting and effective against most waterborne illnesses, though they require batteries and don't remove sediment or chemical contaminants.
