ARM Cortex

What is an ARM Cortex?

An ARM Cortex is a family of processor cores designed by ARM Holdings that implement the ARM architecture for embedded systems and mobile devices. These cores are licensed to semiconductor manufacturers who integrate them into their own microcontrollers and system-on-chip (SoC) designs. ARM Cortex processors are divided into three main profiles: Cortex-A for high-performance applications, Cortex-R for real-time systems, and Cortex-M for microcontroller applications. They are widely used in smartphones, tablets, IoT devices, and embedded systems due to their power efficiency and scalable performance.
