Bluetooth Low Energy

What is Bluetooth Low Energy?

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is a wireless communication protocol designed for short-range data transmission with minimal power consumption. It operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band and is optimized for devices that need to transmit small amounts of data infrequently while maintaining battery life for months or years. BLE is commonly used in IoT devices, fitness trackers, smart sensors, and wearables that require periodic connectivity to smartphones or other devices. Unlike classic Bluetooth, BLE uses a different signal structure that allows devices to quickly connect, exchange data, and disconnect to preserve energy.
