Charge Controller

What is a charge controller?

A charge controller is an electronic device that regulates the flow of electrical current from a power source (like solar panels or wind turbines) to rechargeable batteries. It prevents overcharging by monitoring battery voltage and reducing or stopping current flow when batteries reach full capacity, while also protecting against reverse current flow at night or during low-power conditions. Charge controllers are essential components in off-grid solar systems, RV setups, and battery-powered projects to maximize battery life and prevent damage from overcharging or deep discharge.
