Crosstalk
What is crosstalk?
Crosstalk is unwanted electromagnetic interference that occurs when a signal transmitted on one circuit or channel creates an undesired effect on another nearby circuit or channel. This interference happens due to electromagnetic coupling between conductors, such as wires in a cable bundle or traces on a PCB that are physically close to each other. Crosstalk can cause signal degradation, noise, and communication errors in electronic systems. It is commonly mitigated through proper shielding, increasing physical separation between conductors, using twisted pair cables, or implementing differential signaling techniques.
