Force Sensor/FSR
What is a force sensor/FSR?
A Force Sensitive Resistor (FSR) is a variable resistor that changes its resistance based on the amount of physical force or pressure applied to its surface. When pressure is applied, the resistance decreases proportionally to the force, allowing microcontrollers to measure and respond to touch, weight, or pressure variations. FSRs are commonly used in touch-sensitive interfaces, pressure-activated switches, and weight measurement applications due to their simple analog output and low cost.
