Grommet

What is a grommet?

A grommet is a protective ring or eyelet made of rubber, plastic, or metal that is inserted into holes in panels, enclosures, or chassis. It prevents sharp edges from damaging wires, cables, or tubing that pass through the hole while also providing strain relief and environmental sealing. Grommets are commonly used in electronics enclosures, automotive applications, and anywhere cables need to safely traverse through rigid materials without being cut or abraded.
