Nickel Metal Hydride
What is a Nickel Metal Hydride battery?
A rechargeable battery technology that uses a nickel oxide hydroxide positive electrode and a hydrogen-absorbing negative electrode made from metal alloys. NiMH batteries offer higher energy density than NiCd batteries without the toxic cadmium, making them popular for consumer electronics, hybrid vehicles, and portable devices. They typically provide 1.2V per cell and can be recharged hundreds of times, though they suffer from self-discharge and memory effect issues.
