Potentiometer

What is a potentiometer?

A potentiometer is a three-terminal variable resistor that allows manual adjustment of resistance values by turning a knob or sliding a control. It consists of a resistive track with a movable wiper contact that can be positioned anywhere along the track to create different voltage divisions. Potentiometers are commonly used as volume controls, brightness adjusters, and user input devices in electronic circuits, providing analog control over voltage levels and signal strength.
