Servo Motor

What is a servo motor?

A servo motor is a rotary actuator that provides precise control of angular position, velocity, and acceleration through a closed-loop feedback system. It consists of a DC motor, position sensor (typically a potentiometer or encoder), and control circuit that continuously monitors and corrects the motor's position based on input commands. Servo motors are commonly used in robotics, RC vehicles, and automation applications where accurate positioning is required, typically offering rotation ranges from 0° to 180° in standard servos or continuous rotation in modified versions.
