Sketch
What is a sketch?
A sketch is the source code file that contains the program written for Arduino microcontrollers and similar development boards. It consists of C/C++ code that defines the setup() and loop() functions, along with any additional functions, variables, and library imports needed for the project. Sketches are written in the Arduino IDE or compatible development environments and are compiled and uploaded to the microcontroller to control its behavior and interact with connected sensors, actuators, and other hardware components.
