Solar Panel

What is a solar panel?

A solar panel is a device that converts sunlight directly into electrical energy using photovoltaic cells, typically made from silicon semiconductors. When photons from sunlight strike the panel's surface, they knock electrons loose from atoms in the semiconductor material, creating an electrical current. Solar panels are commonly used to power homes, charge batteries, and provide renewable energy for electronic systems, with output voltage and current dependent on the panel size, cell configuration, and light intensity.
