Stepper Motor

What is a stepper motor?

A stepper motor is a brushless DC electric motor that divides a full rotation into a number of equal steps, typically 200 steps per revolution (1.8° per step). Unlike continuous rotation motors, stepper motors move in precise, discrete angular increments when given digital pulse signals, making them ideal for applications requiring accurate positioning without feedback sensors. They are commonly used in 3D printers, CNC machines, robotics, and automated equipment where precise control of position and speed is essential.
