Strain Relief
What is a strain relief?
A strain relief is a protective component designed to prevent mechanical stress and damage to cables, wires, or connectors at connection points. It provides a flexible transition that absorbs pulling, bending, and twisting forces that would otherwise be transmitted directly to the electrical connections. Strain reliefs are commonly found on power cords, audio cables, and electronic device connections, helping to prevent wire breakage, connector damage, and intermittent electrical connections caused by repeated mechanical stress.
