Switch

What is a switch?

A switch is an electrical component that controls the flow of current in a circuit by opening or closing electrical contacts. When closed, it provides a conductive path allowing current to flow; when open, it breaks the circuit and stops current flow. Switches come in various forms including toggle, push-button, rocker, and slide types, and are fundamental components used to turn devices on/off or select between different circuit paths.
