Temperature Sensor
What is a temperature sensor?
A temperature sensor is an electronic device that measures ambient or surface temperature and converts it into an electrical signal. It works by detecting changes in physical properties like resistance, voltage, or current that correlate with temperature variations. Common types include thermocouples, thermistors, RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detectors), and integrated circuit sensors like the LM35. Temperature sensors are widely used in HVAC systems, automotive applications, weather monitoring, and microcontroller projects for environmental control and safety monitoring.
