Ultrasonic Sensor
What is an ultrasonic sensor?
An ultrasonic sensor is an electronic device that uses high-frequency sound waves (typically above 20 kHz) to measure distance, detect objects, or determine material properties. It works by emitting ultrasonic pulses and measuring the time it takes for the sound waves to bounce back from a target object, then calculating distance using the speed of sound. These sensors are commonly used in robotics for obstacle avoidance, in automotive applications for parking assistance, and in industrial automation for non-contact measurement and detection tasks.
