Universal Serial Bus
What is a Universal Serial Bus?
A standardized interface protocol and physical connector system designed for connecting peripheral devices to computers and other host devices. USB enables both data transfer and power delivery through a single cable, supporting a wide range of devices including keyboards, mice, storage drives, cameras, and smartphones. It has evolved through multiple versions (USB 1.0 through USB4) with increasing data transfer speeds and power delivery capabilities. USB is widely adopted due to its plug-and-play functionality, hot-swappable nature, and ability to daisy-chain multiple devices through hubs.
