Via

What is a via?

A via is a small conductive hole that passes through one or more layers of a printed circuit board (PCB) to create electrical connections between different layers. It consists of a drilled hole that is plated with conductive material, typically copper, allowing current to flow vertically through the board's layers. Vias are essential for routing complex circuits in multi-layer PCBs where components and traces on different layers need to be electrically connected.
