Header Pins

What are header pins?

Header pins are rows of male or female connector pins that provide temporary or semi-permanent electrical connections between circuit boards, modules, and components. They consist of metal pins arranged in standardized spacing (typically 2.54mm/0.1 inch pitch) that can be soldered to PCBs or inserted into breadboards. Header pins are commonly used for connecting Arduino shields, Raspberry Pi HATs, sensors, and other modular electronic components, allowing for easy assembly and disassembly of circuits.

Pin Header

A pin header is a rectangular connector consisting of a row or grid of metal pins protruding from a plastic base, commonly used to create removable connections between circuit boards and components. The pins are typically spaced 0.1 inches (2.54mm) apart and can be arranged in single or multiple rows.
