What is a Lithium Polymer battery?
A Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery is a rechargeable battery that uses a polymer electrolyte instead of liquid electrolyte found in traditional lithium-ion batteries. LiPo batteries are popular in RC vehicles, drones, and portable electronics because they offer high energy density, lightweight construction, and can be manufactured in flexible shapes and thin profiles. They typically provide 3.7V per cell and require specialized charging circuits due to their sensitivity to overcharging, over-discharging, and physical damage.
