Resistance

What is resistance?

Resistance is the opposition to the flow of electric current through a material or component, measured in ohms (Ω). It determines how much current will flow for a given voltage according to Ohm's Law (V = I × R). Higher resistance means less current flows, while lower resistance allows more current to pass through. Resistance is a fundamental property used to control current flow, divide voltages, and dissipate power in electronic circuits.
